The bathroom in the images below we undertook in West London.It consisted of a contemporary bathroom design and geometric floor tiling. The house itself was a late Victorian early Georgian property and so thoroughly lent itself to this bathroom design.
The challenge of this project
The age of the property and the weight of the stand allone bath was a pretty bad combination for a geometric floor with such high quality requirements. In the preparation before laying this floor we were meticulous in strengthening the floor. We succeeded in strengthening the joists substantially and then applied a very strong screed and decoupling membrane over a 18mm plywood to take up any movement.
The tiles were then layed on an absolutely flat and levelled substrate to make one very impressive geometric tiled floor. Our associated plumber completed all the plumbing work and we completed all plastering, decorating, and carpentry.There was therefore reduced stress for the client as we managed this entire bathroom installation.
